Your first project

Projects in Verdan represent individual job sites or construction projects. Here's how to set up your first one.

Creating a Project

• From the dashboard, click + New Project
• Enter the project details:

- Project Name — A clear, identifiable name (e.g., "Maple Street Tower")

- Address — Full site address for mapping and weather data

- Start Date — Expected project start date

- End Date — Estimated completion date (can be updated later)

• Click Create Project

Configuring Project Settings

After creation, configure your project:

Access Control

• Set who can view and manage the project
• Assign a primary superintendent
• Add subcontractors who will work on site

Compliance Rules

• Set required safety certifications
• Configure sign-in requirements (e.g., require safety orientation)
• Enable or disable guest sign-ins

Notifications

• Choose who receives sign-in alerts
• Set up safety observation notifications
• Configure daily summary emails

Generating Your Gate QR Code

The gate QR code is how workers sign in to your site:

• Go to Project Settings > QR Codes
• Click Generate Gate Code
• Download the QR code image
• Print it at a large size (recommended: 8.5" x 11" or larger)
• Post it at your site entrance, protected from weather
